2020 has been quite the year, Corona Virus has changed life for many of us, including myself! Days of being indoors and trips out restricted to socially distanced walks. It gave me time to slow down, to contemplate and enjoy the timeless pleasure of looking at plants.
They are things of beauty, but they have a purpose beyond decoration. This piece invites quiet reflection on humans relationship with plants. I love history and stories and was inspired to research the Spanish flu epidemic and the wonderful medicines and advertising from the time. For hundreds of years mankind has turned to plants for healing, nature and humanity, past and present providing rich threads with which to observe and grow.
